Van Schaijk Tree Nursery is a specialized family business focused on cultivating uniform standards in various sizes. Since 2018, we have been growing plants with care and a focus on quality. Through intensive pruning, manual staking, and cultivation without synthetic fertilizers, we guarantee compact growth and consistent quality. Our process: From whip to standard

Purchasing whips

Every autumn, we purchase carefully selected whips from specialized nurseries. These young trees form the ideal foundation for us to cultivate into uniform, high-quality standards.

Staking the whips

After purchase, the whips are staked manually. This is done with great precision to ensure the stem grows perfectly straight. Our specialization in this process ensures strong and stable stems.

Planting the whips in open ground

The staked whips are grown in open ground for 2 to 3 years. Through regular pruning, the trees develop compact branching and uniform growth, without the use of synthetic fertilizers.

Potting the plants

The plants are potted during the winter. This ensures they remain available for delivery year-round and maintain their quality during transport and planting.
